Just as we have seen above,Newest Kess 5.017 will program unprotected EDC17's via OBD. If the EDC17 ECU is protected, then Ktag FW7.020 can be used to program in boot mode. Some ECU's can be unlocked in boot mode with Ktag and then programmed with Kess.Also kess 5.017 ksuite 2.23 for obd reads are often partial, where as Ktag 7.020 china reads are normally full reads.
